Manual Lymphatic Drainage
Description
Manual Lymphatic Drainage is a light massage therapy technique in which the skin is gently stretched in certain directions based on the structure of the lymphatic system. MLD techniques are designed to increase the uptake and transport lymph and interstitial fluid to the lymph vessels for processing. Proper MLD massage can help treat lymphedema, poor circulation, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, other chronic conditions, as well as aids the immune system, wound healing, headaches, skin conditions, and post-surgical tissue recovery. LIMB offers complimentary consultations to gather more information, determine whether MLD is a suitable intervention, and prepare the client for MLD work.
